Where do you buy your wigs and what sort of money do you usually spend.
I get mine online at “The OnlineWigStore” based in Bloomsbury London. I have bought at least 5 from there, Noriko make.
The quoted price is around £100 plus postage, but there is usually a discount code available for purchases over £100, taking it down to around £87 inc shipping. Depending on how you treat them and how much you wear them, I d say they last around 10 months before they completely lose their shape. It doesn’t seem a long time does it I know, but I find that my hair is so important to the final look that it’s worth the money replacing them when I can afford to. Some people prefer to spend much much more and of course some very cheaply. It is up to the individual of course. Once you get a style that suits though, I find I multi buy or buy in different colours.
Why did you stop being Jaynie all those years ago.
A good question. I had been out most weekends on the London scene. I was single all that time. ( 2001- 2003) In the early part of March 2003, I met a girl who had moved in next to my flat. We started hanging out together , meals, pubs plus some other things!, so the Jaynie time just became less and less. I went to Gran Canaria with the crowd from the Boudoir in around the April 2003 and it was at the end of that trip away from this girl, that I thought it was time to hang up my wig. I didn’t know how long for, maybe for a while, maybe forever. I really didn’t know. As it turned out it was 13 years ( apart from one fleeting visit for a reunion / birthday bash in 2009 I recall).
Where do you shop for Jaynie.
Well aren’t we lucky these days with the Internet. No more sneaking around ladies clothes shops pretending they were for my wife! Now we have such a choice. This time around ive stuck with ASOS, Boohoo and Lipsy. Believe it or not, I have a bit of a barrel belly ! I know I hide it well 😊
So I choose to wear “shift”dresses which give that extra roomage around the front. It works for me. On the shoe front, ASOS have a great range of Wide Fit and plus 9 shoes too. In time gone buy you’d have to go to specialist shoe outlets for over 8’s.
Tights or Stockings.
Oh for me it’s always been about the tights. I won’t go into the detail here, but tights is what this all started with for me on this amazing journey.
